How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! — Book of the Cast-Out 20:1
The Fallen Lightbearer fell long ago, in the first rebellion, and has guarded Hell ever since. On the Day of Harvest he was sent all who would not bow, and he took them in. Villagers argue whether he guards the sinners for those above, or wants back in himself and bargains with them. The last hall of the cave: scythe and cubes, in the air feathers and halo beams, in wrath everything at once and faster.
He alone knows the truth. He has seen the face of the One Who Is, and on the Day of Harvest he knew at once that the Faces were not Him. The Seven promised him back his light if he would hold the cast-down; he presses their souls into red cubes and sends them up as tithe, and keeps a share for his own ransom. “I rose and fell,” he says. “They rose and sat down. Only He was there in my day.”
Phases
I · Lord of the pit — from the start. II · Ascension — from 60% health. III · Wrath of the fallen — from 25%.
Fists to the ground
A 0.8 s windup: right fist, then left, each strikes a 2.4 m circle in front of him for 36. Back off rather than sidestep.
Twice he smote the ground; draw back, not aside.
Scythe sweep
A 0.9 s windup — a 220° sector over 7.5 m, 48 damage. The blade travels 1 m above the ground — jump it.
The scythe goeth low, as through grass; leap, as grass cannot.
Scythe throw
The scythe flies at you at 17 m/s, spins for 1.6 s cutting a 3.2 m circle, then returns — it cuts both ways, 42. Get off its flight line.
The scythe returneth to its master; stand not between them.
Circling scythes
Two scythes circle him for 7 s, twice spreading out to 9 m. A touch deals 24. Stay either right next to him or far away.
Either cleave unto him or go far off; the middle is death.
Cubes
Marks under you and around: 3, in wrath 6. After 1 s cubes fall — 45 in a 2.2 m circle. Jumping won't save you — leave the mark.
Souls pressed into stone fall from heaven; come out from under them.
Chain
A chain of cubes flies up to 24 m — whoever it hits is bound. Press the shown keys in order: 4, in wrath 5; a mistake adds a key. The bound burn 12 per second; after 8 s the chain breaks on its own.
The chain is of the same souls; break it in order, as one readeth a prayer.
Strike from above
He soars and dives: everyone within 7 m is thrown back, within 3.5 m hit for 39. After 1 s, 10 chains fly out in all directions, in wrath 14 — stand between them.
Stand between the chains, for the chains go straight.
Halo gaze
For 1.4 s the lines of future beams glow, then 2 beams, in wrath 3, sweep the hall for 6 s. The beam runs low — jump it, 27 damage.
His halo yet remembereth heaven and sweepeth low; leap.
Wave of cubes
Palm to the ground — 2 rings of rising cubes, in wrath 3, run to the walls at 9 m/s. The edge is low — jump it, 33 damage.
The cubes rise in a ring and run to the walls; step over them.
Blade feathers
Two volleys of 7 feathers, in wrath 9, in a 60° fan: the left wing aims at you, the right at where you are now. Change direction after the first volley. 15 damage.
The left wing striketh thee, the right him thou shalt be a step hence; change thy way.
